Plasticity and Thermal Tolerance
My dissertation focused on studying the role of temperature on Anolis apletophallus physiology, behavior, gene expression and epigenetic modifications (methylation).
I exposed slender anoles to an acute (3h) heat stress and measured heat tolerance, gene expression, and methylation patterns.
My first chapter, exploring the changes in heat shock protein networks (HSPs) in response to a moderate and severe heat stress, has been published in Integrative and Comparative Biology.
